Celebrating our resources – PART I

Celebrating our resources – PART I

New series offering support for you from my resources in
SUPPORT FOR YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
YOGA AND BREATHWORK
CARE AND COMPASSION

Hope this is helpful. Please share!

German below!

SUPPORT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

This is what I feed my family at least once daily (in variations):

1-2 apples
1-2 oranges
A good handful of spinach
10cm cucumber
1cm fresh ginger
1cm fresh curcuma
A good dash of ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon raw chocolate/cacao nibs
A handful of cashew nuts
1/2 glass lemon juice
1/2l water

Blend and enjoy! For variations add 1/2 banana or 5 dates, or replace the orange with pinapple!

YOGA / BREATHWORK

There are so many breathing exercises out there, all very helpful for the body, mind and heart. They help us cleanse, bring a lot of oxygen to the system and support the nerves and immune system.
And every inhalation connects you to your core in a very natural, mostly unnoticed way – and every exhalation connects you to the outside. Set a focus here several times during the day!
If you currently feel a lot of worries and fears, try the cardiac coherence breathing. It is very soothing and calming, it can help you fall asleep at nighttime and lead into deep relaxation at daytime. There is a sweet little free app, simply called „breathe“, and very easy to handle. But you can also practice without it, of course:

Sit comfortable or lie down, so that your tummy can move freely, settle into the moment and begin:
Inhale steadily and fluently, counting to six, and without pause exhale steadily and fluently, counting to six again, inhale again without pause and continue.
Maybe you want to start by counting to four, or you feel, seven or eight might be good for you. Try it out and then stay with it.
Keep counting in a continuous rhythm.

CARE AND COMPASSION

Keep an open heart! Staying home is important, but there is so much more you can do to help! What are your resources? What do you have to share?

Here are some ideas:
Donate food/clothes/medicine for homeless people whose support is breaking away.
Check in on your neighbours (keep distance/use the phone)
Create online kids groups to give parents working from home while trying to simultaneously taking are of their children some time to work – or to breathe!
Support your local yoga studio, gym, song circle, shops! These people want to be there for you now and want to still be there when we are again able to meet outside.
Stick together with your friends and community! Meet on the phone, meet online, keeping each other’s spirits up! Say, if you need something.

MUCH MORE TO COME! I’ve been writing for days now, realizing at some point that nobody was going to read it- too much of the good stuff, my text had become much too long! So I decided to make it a series of inspiration to support you.
Please share your experiences and thoughts in the comments.
Stay positive. Breathe.

With love, Shivapriya

Gerne teilen!

UNTERSTÜTZE DEIN IMMUNSYSTEM!

Das hier bekommt meine Familie (in Variationen) mindestens einmal täglich:

1-2 Äpfel
1-2 Orangen
Eine gute handvoll Spinat
10 cm Gurke
1 cm frischen Ingwer
1 cm frischen Kurkuma
1 msp gemahlenen Zimt
1 El Rohkakao / cacao nibs
1 handvoll Cashews
1/2 Tasse Zitronensaft
1/2 L Wasser

Halte dein Herz offen! Was sind deine Ressourcen? Was hast du zu teilen?

Hier ein paar Ideen:
Spende Essen/ Kleidung/Medizin an Obdachlose, deren Unterstützung jetzt wegbricht
Brauchen deine Nachbarn Hilfe?
Sag, wenn du was brauchst.

MUCH MORE TO COME!
Bleibt positiv. Atmet.

Mit Liebe, Shivapriya
